The Molokai Pacific Island Tele Services started with travel information for Lanai and Molokai and have expanded on their own into Medical Transcription Services.

Tri-Isle RC&D Council worked with the USDA Rural Development and Molokai Community Service Council in developing a community-based telecommunications center for businesses on Molokai. Plans included creation of an employment training and social services program geared towards preparing residents for gainful employment in telecommunication and computer industries. Tri-Isle RC&D was granted $105,000 from the Office of Economic Development, County of Maui, and $39,225 from USDA, Rural Development.
